Goldens’ Cast Iron Cooker saved my marriage! Well, I may be exaggerating a bit, but the cooker has added a whole new dynamic to dinner at home with the family. No longer does the question, “What’s for dinner?” lead to a cringe worthy moment of indecisive “I don’t know. What do you want?” back and forth. Since the arrival of our Goldens’ Cast Iron Cooker, we’ve been spending more time cooking at home rather than eating out or grabbing something at a drive thru. We had fallen into the same old rushed dinner routines. Me? I’m from the south and cooking over fire is in my blood. My husband, however, is from the north and doesn’t get the “Rarrrr MEAT” thing that is near and dear to a southerner’s heart. So, I’ve had to be a bit more creative cooking for the family.
This cooker is so versatile that I use it almost daily as a second kitchen. I can grill, sear, smoke, roast, and bake. I’ve been able to cook dishes that I never thought I’d attempt — from warmed brie, cold-smoked salmon, seared bay scallops, baked casseroles to pizza (not to mention, the smoked ribs that are out of this world). To be honest, there hasn’t been a single dish that we’ve not liked. Every day I think of something new to try. Today, I’ll be preparing Ancho Lime Chicken with a fire-roasted tomatillo and chili salsa. I can’t wait. Thank you Goldens for helping us re-discover that family dinner time is priceless.
